From the initial days of Broil King barbecues, Ted Witzel realized there was an opportunity to design and build a barbecue that created a better grilling experience to all outdoor cooking enthusiasts. A performance barbecue with a cooking system that was designed differently and for one thing - flavour.

No matter what style of cooking you use, we provide you with a performance cooking system – patented burners evenly distributing heat, stainless steel flavour wave to vaporize drippings for the unmistakable barbecue flavour, heavy cast stainless, cast iron or stainless steel grids to retain heat and provide searing capabilities, deep cast aluminium ovens for superb convection cooking and even distribution of heat and infinite heat control.

Onward Manufacturing is a family owned and operated Canadian business dating back to 1906.
In 1985 the company focus shifted to the design, manufacture, and distribution of Broil King barbecue grills and accessories.
By 2008, growing demand across North America and Europe, prompted further expansion. While many companies were moving manufacturing to China due to lower labor and material costs, the company recognized an opportunity to expand Broil King’s presence in the US and added manufacturing facilities in Huntington, IN and Dickson, TN, US.
By keeping production in North America, we maintain careful control of our processes and quality programs. Decades of experience in building and cooking with high quality barbecues have taught us what it takes to design and build a barbecue that is made for flavour.
All Broil King gas grills are designed, engineered, manufactured, and assembled from raw materials, domestic and globally sourced components to finished barbecue grills, in the US and Canada. Our manufacturing facilities are located in Waterloo, ON, Canada, Huntington, IN and Dickson, TN USA.
Our factories are fully equipped for steel fabricating, aluminum die casting, injection molding, powder coat paint processing, and porcelain enameling and final assembly of high-quality performance barbecue grills.
Our skilled Canadian and U.S. workforce, our valued local and global suppliers and our incredible network of passionate retail and distribution partners are integral to the core of the Broil King brand.
